Irka's Pliatsky (Potato Pancakes)

Irka's Pliatsky

1 kg Potatoes (approx)

2 eggs

salt & pepper to taste

2 tablespoons oil

small carton of sour cream (optional)

METHOD

Finely grate uncooked potatoes.

Add whisked eggs, salt and pepper.

Take a large spoon of mixture and make into small pancake shapes.

Slightly dust with flour (optional)

Place pancakes into a frying pan with the oil already heated and fry on both sides until golden brown.

Plate up adding sour cream on the side as a garnish.

Platzkyj are eaten as a snack or as part of a main course.
