The dance, Cossacks from Kiev, is the Ukrainian version of the popular film West Side Story, where 2 groups of Zaporizhian Cossacks try to outwit each other with different dance steps, that gradually get more complex. They then try to outwit one another with their solos, but eventually settle their difference, which is shown with a massive explosive ending.
This dance gave Hoverla first place at the Ukrainian Youth Ass'n Regional Rally (Okruzhnyi Zdvyh CYM) with a score of out 93 of 100. This allowed them to qualify to the Ukrainian Youth Ass'n National Rally (Krayovyi Zdvyh CYM), gaining first place with a score of 86 out of 100 and the only standing ovation of the day.
